Hyde Park MS Week of Respect In an effort to recognize the importance of respect and kindness, Hyde Park will have their first Spirit Week 9/28 - 102/15. Students are encouraged to show their spirit by dressing based on the daily theme. Also, Friday, October 2nd is Blue Day and all students and staff are asked to wear blue clothes as a show of solidarity against bullying. Capital Improvement Program Survey The 2015 Nevada Legislature authorized bond rollover legislation that will provide approximately $4.1 billion in revenue for capital expenditures over the next 10 years to the CCSD. Hyde Park Middle School Fundraiser In lieu of a school wide fundraiser where students are asked to sell products and return the money to school, Hyde Park has established a website where parents can make a charitable donation that will be used to fund various school wide programs and assist our teachers with necessary supplies. All students will report to their homeroom on Monday, August 24th to receive their schedule. Academy students begin at 7:00 a.m. and Zoned students begin at 7:50 a.m.
Welcome to the 2015-16 school year The first day of school for the 2015 - 2016 school year begins on Monday, August 24th. Start time for students enrolled in the Academy for Math and Science is 7:00 a.m. and start time for students in our zoned program is 7:50 a.m. Students must be in their class when the first bell rings or they will be considered tardy. All students are dismissed at 2:01 p.m. Students are not to remain on or around campus after school is dismissed. All students will receive their schedule on the first day of school during a special homeroom class. Homerooms will be setup by grade level and student last name and will be displayed throughout the school campus.
On-line Portal Registration continues Parents, please be sure to complete your on-line registration so that all close of school mailers including student report cards are sent to the proper address. Additionally, the address on file is what will be utilized for sending home important back to school information for the 2015 - 2016, school year. Parents that do not have parent portal access need to visit the school to get their account information. The office is open from 6:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Nevada Math Counts earns Most Improved Team in the Nation Congratulations to the Nevada MathCounts Team for winning the Most Improved Team in the nation award for the second year in a row at the MathCounts National Competition. Three of the four team members are Hyde Park students as well as the state coach, Mr. Lawrence.
