Hyde Park's Title 1 Virtual Family Event Hyde Park will be holding its first virtual family event of the year on Thursday, 8/26/21, from 5:00 - 7:00. The topic will be Surviving Middle School, and parents will have their choice of sessions to attend from the following topics: Conversations in the Kitchen, Online Resources for Secondary Students, Canvas, Transitions in Education: Thriving in Middle School, Socio-Emotional Learning, and Language Development at Home and at School ( a presentation for ELL families).The sessions will last 30 minutes, so you can attend up to 4! CCSD and the Library District Team-up The Clark County School District is collaborating with public libraries on the Summer Challenge. Open House Hyde Park Middle School is currently experiencing issues with our HVAC system. In addition, there is an excessive heat warning. We have just been informed that our air conditioning may not be fixed by this evening. So in an abundance of caution, we have decided to cancel our in-person Open House for this evening. We apologize for the inconvenience. However, we will be providing a virtual Open House which will be available beginning Monday, August 16th. All information that would have been received in person this evening will be presented in the video and virtual format. CCSD Middle School Speech and Debate Camp Some very awesome high school debate students are providing a "free" Speech & Debate summer camp for all CCSD middle school students who are interested in learning more about speech & debate.
