Chromebook Return At the conclusion of our school year, Hyde Park MS will need to collect ALL Chromebooks. This includes ALL students that are attending Summer School. Students needing a Chromebook for Summer School will be issued one during summer school.Your assigned date and time to return the Chromebook is Wednesday, May 26th, and the time for each grade level was emailed. Drop-off will be located in the school gym and the best parking location is in the bus lot located off of Fulton Street. Only one person will be permitted to enter campus and masks must be worn.What you need to know:• ALL Chromebooks are being disabled at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 25th.• If a student does not return their Chromebooks, a fine will be charged for the full cost of the device, approximately $300.00. That fine may prevent a student from graduating from a CCSD School.• When Chromebooks are returned, they will be inspected for any damage.• Students will be fined for any damage to the device.• Fines and payments can be paid at the school bank with cash or credit card only.• Chromebooks need to be fully charged and logged in at the time of drop-off.• Both the Chromebook and power cord will need to be present at the time of check-in. Missing or damaged power cords cost approximately $40.00

Las Vegas Science and Technology Festival The 10th Annual Las Vegas Science and Technology Festival (LVSTF) is April 23 - April 30, 2021. All events are free and all will be virtual. Join us for many exciting and engaging opportunities for families, educators, and students! Please share the attached LVSTF brochure with all staff, families, and students. Some of the events will have limited space due to the engaging, interactive nature. All events are virtual and require registration at www.scifest.vegas. HPMS to offer Summer Session for Students This year Hyde Park MS will be hosting a summer school session for all students from June 1 - June 30. Students will be in school during our regular bell hours of 8:00 am - 3:01 pm (subject to change). Students will have access to breakfast and lunch while attending. Families will have the choice to attend on a weekly basis during the summer school session, and we request that families commit to attending the full week(s) they select. If your student is eligible for transportation, it will be provided during summer school. Pennies for Patients - Fundraiser Hyde Park has a long tradition of raining money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society through their Pennies for Patients platform. This year we are doing it virtually as a grade-level competition. Please share your grade level web-page to help raise money for this great cause.
